BW High Contrast

Typical BW was never enough for me because I see potential of high contrast at times when that’s the only way to achieve desired effect or to enhance the overall scene. High contrast suits well while shooting street portraits, abstracts or simply night shots.

I can’t deny there is also different visual and emotional response to this kind of imagery where certain parts of an image blend into darkness or serve as a silhouette. I do also use high contrast to eliminate distracting midtones and guide viewer to a certain element of a scene.
