BW

I see ‘in monotone’ and I’m drawn to gestures, emotions, lines, shapes, structures and contrast of any kind so Black and White photography is a natural choice for me and preferred way of shooting.

I appreciate color but living in a place where I can’t use it often or to a satisfactory extent I choose BW. My process of visualization of a shot includes thinking of how to alter BW to my needs. I don’t process color shots to BW and often don’t remember colors as much as a captured expression.

BW helps me in directing viewers to focus on gesture, emotion, gaze or felling that they can relate to or simply contemplate. I tend to emphasize variety of interactions between objects in the frame or subject and the viewer.
